Episode 12: Missionaries Are Real People with Ellen Rosenberger

On this episode of the Circle 31 Podcast, I speak with Ellen Rosenberger. Ellen  grew up as a missionary kid in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Ellen moved to Managua, Nicaragua in 2005 where she met her husband, Luke. They served as missionary teachers at Nicaragua Christian Academy until 2016. The Rosenberger family moved from Nicaragua to Colorado, where Luke completed a Master of Divinity degree at Denver Seminary. They currently live in Fisher, Illinois where Luke serves as pastor of East Bend Mennonite Church.

Luke and Ellen have five kids ages ten and under: David, Emily, Lucy, Elizabeth, and Annie. When she’s not feeding, clothing, or reading to one of her children, Ellen enjoys writing, reading, going on hikes, and watching “The Voice.”
