In my talk with Dr. Chonta Haynes it became overwhelmingly apparent how little we talk about money matters in the body of Christ. We talk about giving and how important it is. But are we talking about managing what we have enough? Money management is a touchy subject. Who wants to be told what to do with their money? The truth is, the majority of us need guidance on how to become better stewards of our finances. Dr. Chonta has numerous resources to help those who are looking improve their financial landscape. This quote reminds me of Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." We can conclude that our 'heart' or interest is where we put our dollars. It is not God's will for us to be burdened down with debt. He desires that we be free to be funnels and not reservoirs as Dr. Chonta put it in episode 2. How do we get there? How do we become financially healthy? We follow the principles in God's word as it relates to money. Dr. Chonta made a good point in episode 2.
