Both books help missionaries navigate their lives on the mission field and also with the transition back home. Ellen is honest and relatable as she shares what every missionary should do to prepare for life on the mission field. She shares her story about her life as a missionary, the powerful life lessons that missions work taught her and the importance of mental health. Ellen raises issues that are rarely discussed openly as it relates to missionaries and mental health. This was an enlightening and encouraging discussion.
